SOLD OUT
Meet up with Preservation New Jersey members and friends on a Tour with Frenchtown Walking Tours founder Rick Epstein. Rick Epstein is Frenchtown Borough Historian and a retired newspaperman. His unique tour of downtown Frenchtown will tell you how the guillotine caused Frenchtown’s founder to flee France, the mystic rites of the Odd Fellows; what might have caused the Great Fire of 1878; Senator Martin’s alligators; the Flood of 1955; the boy who fired revolvers (with blanks) in the movie theater; the old Gem Theatre; why Annie Oakley and Mary Tyler Moore slept here (on different nights); and plenty more.
We’ll end right on time to take in Frenchtown sunset over the Delaware River before heading to the outdoor patio at the National Hotel in downtown Frenchtown for networking and drinks with other members of the preservation community.
