Dear Friend,
Our National Parks are under threat.
This week, Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) introduced an amendment to the FY26 Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies Appropriations bill that could open the door to selling off, transferring, or giving away National Parks.
This dangerous amendment would strike critical language that requires National Parks to be protected and maintained as federal land.
Over the past year, we’ve already seen growing threats to our public lands — including proposals to slash National Park funding, shrink National Monuments, and close or transfer park units. Sen. Lee’s amendment would only accelerate these efforts and put our shared natural and cultural heritage at risk.
