Talks with Our Ten Most: Cooper House (2026)
Join Preservation New Jersey for the next installment of Talks with Our Ten Most, a virtual series highlighting sites included on the 2026 Ten Most Endangered Historic Places in New Jersey list.
This program will focus on the Cooper House located in Hope Township, Warren County. The building is one of just three surviving frame structures in Hope constructed by the Moravians. The discussion will explore the house’s history and significance, its important contribution to its streetscape and the Hope Historic District, the threats it currently faces, and the preservation efforts the locally-based organization Help Our Preservation Effort (H.O.P.E) has undertaken to save this important resource.
Hear from advocates and preservation partners about why the Cooper House was selected for the 2026 Ten Most list and the ongoing efforts to ensure that vanishing historic resource types, like those constructed by the Moravians throughout New Jersey, remain important landmarks in their communities.
The presentation will conclude with a Q&A and discussion with attendees.
